St. Paul's School Roof Repair
Emergency repair of the roof at St. Paul's Elementary and Junior High School in Sasstown. The existing roof had severely deteriorated, leaving classrooms exposed to rain and unusable. New zinc roofing sheets and timber were installed, restoring a safe and dry learning environment for students. Work involved stripping the old roof, replacing structural timber, and installing new corrugated zinc sheets.
Felorkri Civilize Community Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of two non-functional hand pumps in the Felorkri Civilized Community, Sasstown. Both pumps had damaged cylinders, aprons, and plastic bearings. Rehabilitated by the Sayeh Foundation in memory of Anthony & Priscilla Sayeh. Enclosures with community management signs installed. Operating hours: 6:30am–11:30am and 4:00pm–7:00pm with monthly dues of $100 LRD per household.
Zinc Camp Felorkle Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of a non-functional hand pump serving the Zinc Camp Felorkle community in Sasstown. The pump required a full Afridev hand pump replacement due to severe damage, additional well digging for low water, and water treatment. Implemented by Rural Drinking Water Management (R.D.W.M) and funded by the Sasstown-Sayeh Foundation. Communities previously had children walking 30–45 minutes for safe drinking water.
Geteekpoh Community Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the Geteekpoh community hand pump in Sasstown, Grand Kru County. The pump had a damaged cylinder, broken apron, and plastic bearing failure. Rehabilitated by the Sayeh Foundation in memory of Anthony & Priscilla Sayeh. A protective enclosure was constructed and community management established. Population of 210 now has reliable access to clean water.
Sass Town High School Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the hand pump at Sass Town High School, which serves approximately 850 students. The cylinder was damaged and the water table was low, requiring additional machine digging. Now providing clean, reliable water access to students and staff throughout the school day.
Central Carkati Community Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the Central Carkati community hand pump in Sasstown, Grand Kru County. The pump had no cylinder, broken bush bearing, and the water had not been treated for over 3 years. Rehabilitated by the Sayeh Foundation in memory of Anthony & Priscilla Sayeh. A protective enclosure was built and community management established. Operating hours posted. Monthly dues of $100 LRD per household sustain ongoing maintenance.
Felorkri Civilized Community Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of two non-functional hand pumps (Community #1 and #2) serving a combined 590 residents. Cylinders, aprons, and plastic bearings are all damaged.
Zink Camp Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of a severely damaged hand pump serving 200 residents. The pump requires full Afridev replacement and additional digging due to low water levels.
Getepoh Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of a non-functional hand pump serving 210 residents. Cylinder, apron, and plastic bearing are all damaged.
Fish Town Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of a non-functional hand pump serving 300 residents. The pump has had no cylinder or bush bearing for over 4 years and the apron is damaged. Children currently walk 30–45 minutes to reach safe drinking water.
Sass Town High School Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of the non-functional hand pump at Sass Town High School, which serves 850 students. The cylinder is damaged and water levels are low in the well.
Center Ketiah Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of a non-functional hand pump serving 230 residents. The pump has had no cylinder or bush bearing and the water has not been treated for over 3 years.
Dorgjine Hand Pump Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of a non-functional hand pump serving 260 residents. No cylinder or bush bearing; apron damaged; water not treated for over 4 years.
New Sasstown Wells
Procurement and preparation of concrete well rings for new water wells in Sasstown, Grand Kru County.
Felorkri New Well Construction
Construction of a brand new hand pump well at Felorkri serving 470 residents. This new well will provide a primary safe water source for a community currently without access. Each new well costs approximately $2,700–$3,000 based on field assessments.
Zink Camp New Well Construction
Construction of a brand new hand pump well at Zink Camp. This is a new water source for a community currently without access to safe drinking water. Assessed by Anthony Vorkpor, Hand Pump Technician.
St. Paul's Elementary & Junior High School Improvements
Planned improvements to St. Paul's Elementary and Junior High School, including new desks, chairs, and exploration of a student feeding program. The foundation is gathering cost estimates and engaging local contacts to assess needs. Discussed at the March 29, 2026 board meeting.
